Ich überleg mir’s hundertmal, ehe ich eine Gruppe, Bewegung oder Kirche als „Sekte“ bezeichne. Allzu oft musste dieser Begriff als Keule herhalten, mit der auf Christen eingeschlagen wurde, die dem eigenen Erleben und Denken fremd, dem Evangelium aber sehr wohl verbunden waren. Dadurch wurden Wunden geschlagen, die manchmal Jahre, ja Jahrzehnte nicht ausheilten. Soweit es um „Wort + Geist“ geht, kommen bei mir weitere Gründe für eine behutsame Bewertung hinzu. Ich habe Helmut Bauer zweimal, nämlich im Oktober 2004 und im April 2005 nach Hamburg eingeladen. Sein erster Besuch hat manche in unserer Gemeinde ermutigt, der Gnade Gottes kindlicher zu vertrauen: Sie hörten die paulinische Botschaft von dem „Christus in uns“, die bei uns seit Jahr und Tag gepredigt worden war, in neuer Weise. Bei Bauers zweitem Besuch stellte ich fest, dass die Schnittmenge gemeinsamer geistlicher Überzeugungen weit kleiner war, als ich gedacht hatte. So brach ich den Kontakt zu dem Leiter aus Röhrnbach ab – bis heute. Auch wenn wir Gemeindeglieder, später eine ganze Anskar-Gemeinde an „Wort + Geist“ verloren haben, kann ich nicht leugnen, dass einzelne Christen durch die frühe Röhrnbacher Botschaft erkennbar positiv verändert worden sind. Diese frühe Röhrnbacher Botschaft war theologisch unausgewogen und pastoral einseitig, sie hätte mich aber nie dazu zwingen können, „Wort + Geist“ als Sekte zu bezeichnen.<\/p>\n

Inzwischen stellt sich das leider völlig anders dar.<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Das Schriftprinzip ist faktisch preisgegeben. Die angebliche eigene Geisterfahrung erhebt sich über die Schrift, statt sich permanent an ihr zu messen.<\/li>\n
  2. Das volle Heil ist in eigenartiger Weise an den so genannten Völkerapostel (Helmut Bauer) gebunden.<\/li>\n
  3. Glaube an Gott vollzieht sich als Glaube an den Apostel.<\/li>\n
  4. Die ethischen Weisungen des Neuen Testamentes werden relativiert. Die Ehe – als eine von Gott auch für Christen gesetzte Ordnung – hat ihre Gültigkeit verloren.<\/li>\n
  5. Die eigene Glaubensgemeinschaft befindet sich im Besitz der Wahrheit. Dies führt zu einer geistlichen Isolation vom Leib Christi.<\/li>\n
  6. Kritik von außen wird als Verfolgung um Christi willen interpretiert.<\/li>\n
  7. Man schreibt sich selber eine heilsgeschichtliche Rolle in Gottes Plan zu.<\/li>\n
  8. „Wort + Geist“ spaltet die Gemeinde Christi und inzwischen viele Ehen.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Dies sind nur einige Punkte, die den Sektencharakter von „Wort + Geist“ verdeutlichen. Die Frage, ob diese Verirrungen schon im Ansatz von „Wort + Geist“ latent vorhanden waren oder erst im Laufe der Entwicklung hinzukamen, ist zurzeit zweitrangig. Man kann vor dieser Glaubensgemeinschaft heute nur inständig warnen. Den Gefangenen des Systems und ihrem Leiter in Röhrnbach hilft unsere Empörung, ja sogar unsere begründete Kritik im Augenblick kaum. Wie alle verblendeten Menschen scheinen sie bis auf weiteres Argumenten unzugänglich zu sein. Sie brauchen viel Gebet.<\/p>\n
